We’re helping to make this video viral – just look at the faces of the people who were surprised by this impromptu performance. We think we need more joy like this in our lives everyday!
More than 200 dancers were performing their version of “Do Re Mi”, in the Central Station of Antwerp, after just two rehearsals on 23 of March 2009, 08:00 AM. It was a promotional stunt for a Belgian television program, where they are looking for someone to play the leading role in the musical of “The Sound of Music.”

Crocus 2009

Crocus
And, then, there’s the crocus…almost missed photographing them as well. Now, they’re gone and the daffodils are about to bloom (providing the snow on Monday and Tuesday doesn’t wipe them out).
The Bradford Pear 2009

Bradford Pear
I’ve been stuck inside writing, so I almost lost the opportunity to photograph my Bradford Pear in bloom this year. You can see the green leaves poking through near the side and top. This tree, bless its heart, made it through Ike, a major ice storm, and another wind storm. No branches lost! I think, though, that it helped to have it trimmed last year.
A Friend’s Daughter Needs Dance Help…
A friend who lives in Paducah, Kentucky, has been hard hit by economics. To add insult to injury, she and her family and friends were hardest hit by the terrific ice storm that hit Kentucky last month.
Let’s make this even worse…her father was admitted to the hospital during the ice storm, and – although he’s been allowed to go home – he walks with a cane and can barely get around. So, our friend is helping her father with his business as she tries to run her own jewelry biz.
Wait – there’s more! Her daughter, whom she names, “Puddles,” has an auditory disorder, but she has been blossoming in a dance class. Unfortunately, that class was obliterated when her sponsor lost her business.
Now, Puddles is ready for national dance competitions, but she doesn’t have the money to make it to the event. Our friend has raised enough money for her outfit, but still needs some money for the two trips – the first being to Chattanooga. The cost? About $300-$400 dollars.
If 40 people donated just $10, that trip is possible. And, this is not a rip-off…you all trust us, right? And Christina Jade is very real. You can follow her on Twitter if you want at @ChristinaJade. She’s the same gal who helped out with all the dogs from Graves County, KY in November. You also can check out her Web site, where she concentrates mainly on helping stray and abused animals.
Read more about Christina’s and Puddle’s plight and do what your heart tells you to do…you can donate directly from that link to her page through PayPal. Thanks!
