A report just released [PDF] by investigator Stephen Branchflower, has shown Gov. Sarah Palin abused her power by violating Alaska Statute 39.52.110(a) of the Alaska Executive Branh Ethics Act. This act provides:
The legislature reaffirms that each public officer holds office as a public trust, and any effort to benefit a personal or financial interest through official action is a violation of that trust.
The file, which is 263 pages, contains evidence that can be legally made public. This evidence and other documents that are not public, supports the conclusion that Gov. Palin, at the least, engaged in “official action” by her inaction, if not active participation or assistance to her husband, Todd Palin, in the attempts to get Trooper Wooten fired. It was stated on page 66 that there is evidence of her active participation.
Basically, Gov. Palin knowingly permitted a situation to advance a personal agenda, to wit: “to get Trooper Michael Wooten fired.”
Go ahead. Read the report. It’s better than any TV show you’ll watch tonight.
